Scattered bones, blue jeans (33 waist, 31 inseam), a green and brown corduroy jacket, and several books of matches (one from Plaza Bowling in IL, one from Eugene Hoaster Insurance Co. in PA) were discovered near Clear Creek on September 10, 1981. Additional bones were found in the area in 1986 and determined to be likely more remains of the same individual.

The body of a newborn Caucasian female was found on Sunday, January 8th, 1989 in Carsten Park in Federal Heights, Colorado. She was discovered inside a blue duffel bag in a creek near near the 8900 block of Zuni Street. The baby appeared to be fully developed and showed signs of a live birth. Estimated date of death is several days to several weeks prior to recovery.

On November 29, 1993 at approximately 1140 hours, two men stopped alongside I-70 eastbound, .4 miles west of mile marker 200 and noticed a clear plastic bag. Upon further inspection, they found a infant. The infant was transported to a local hospital where she was subsequently pronounced deceased. The infant female appeared to be of Hispanic or Native American descent. There were no obvious signs of trauma. The infant was wearing a Christmas type outfit.

This male was discovered deceased in a train boxcar. It is thought that he was an undocumented immigrant coming from Mexico. The train had been coming north from New Mexico, through Denver, then north to Ft. Collins. He had a circular old traumatic scar, right lateral back. Linear healed scar on posterior iliac crest (hip). Thin scar on left eyelid. Red & blue nylon windbreaker jacket (size L)with logo "ARA Services Mile High Stadium" (American Restaurant Assoc.). These jackets were only issued by Mile High Stadium in Denver; black & white plaid shirt; red long-sleeved shirt under plaid shirt; khaki trousers with "Chana y Gris" written in block letters on thigh of trousers; white briefs; white athletic shoes found on the body.

Decedent was surrounded by large amounts of cash. There was evidence of drug paraphernalia near the decedent. Fake ID found. Right arm-tattoo of an owl with the inscription "OWL" above the tattoo.
Left arm-circular hyperpigmented area consistent with an illegible tattoo measures 10 cm in diameter. Appears to be a woman's face. Bright blue short -sleeve t-shirt with the inscription "WORLDWIDE NETWORK/ 1019 NGX 2397 Beige colored shorts found on the body.

The man found a refrigerator lying on its side with the door partly open with what appeared to be skeletal remains. After further investigation, law enforcement located a scapula and jaw as well as additional bone fragments within 100 feet of the refrigerator. The trash in the refrigerator was dated 1988-1992.

Circumstances of Recovery:
The decedent was located on the prairie about a mile north of the Walking Stick housing development, north of Pueblo. He was possibly mentally ill and was either released or walked away from a mental hospital. A witness told investigators he encountered a man camping on the open range in August 2000. According to the witness, the man said he was from Albuquerque, and was working his way to Denver. The man had dreadlocks in his hair that were about 4 to 6 inches long. The transient was told he could not stay on the land and would have to move. Apparently, the man moved, but only about a half mile. On October 14, 2000, a woman on horseback came across a camp where the skeletal remains of a man were found reclining on a sleeping bag. Also at the camp area was a tent that had not been pitched, a second sleeping bag, several canteens and several changes of clothing. The decedent did not have identification on him. A few pieces of paper were with the decedent, one contained typed telephone numbers for Spanish Peaks Mental Health Centers and another had addresses of homeless shelters in the Denver area.

Remains were located in a remote field near Interstate 270 and 64th Ave. This was a popular spot for transients in Commerce City, Colorado. He was not buried but on top of vegetation.
Victim may be Hispanic and/or African American and/or of mixed race with some European tendencies. He wore a blue International denim jacket under a Wilson’s leather jacket. The denim jacket has a patch that says "Colorado Grande Casino, Cripple Creek" and another smaller patch that says "Maggies Club, Colorado Grande." He may also have been wearing "iS" brand work pants. A buckle was found near fragments of what appears to be a white belt. The gold-colored metal belt buckle, about 3 inches wide and 2 inches high, has several words on it. “Real Whiskey“ is stamped on the top of the buckle and “The Spirit of Wyoming” stamped on the bottom with “LORD CALVERT CANADIAN“ in the middle. The back side of the buckle reads “Real Whiskey for real men.”
